2025 DPMFEE Scholarship Brunch
The 2025 Scholarship Luncheon affirmed a simple truth: when young women are seen, supported, and challenged, their futures expand in powerful and undeniable ways. The 6th Annual Donna P. McCullum Foundation Scholarship Brunch celebrated the accomplishments of remarkable young women destined for greatness. With generous support from Senator Merika Coleman, the event was elevated by breathtaking performances from piano virtuoso Darrina Johnson, who has performed at Carnegie Hall, and the smooth, soulful stylings of saxophonist Tre Wesley. For the first time, the Foundation hosted an inspiring art showcase featuring original works by talented female artists from Parker High School, Woodlawn High School, and Putnam Middle School. A total of $5,000 in scholarships was awarded to rising college freshmen, along with $1,000 in awards recognizing student artists. The luncheon honored Tyra Banks as the 2025 Scholarship Recipient, while celebrating scholarship finalists Cacie Freeman, Laila Sibley, and Kamorah Reynolds for their excellence and promise. The Donna P. McCullum Foundation for Educational Excellence remains committed to its scholars—not just at the beginning of their journey, but every step of the way. We are part of their village, and their journey is part of our legacy.
2024 DPMFEE Scholarship Brunch
The 2024 DPMFEE Scholarship Brunch celebrated academic excellence, servant leadership, and the remarkable accomplishments of young women preparing to make an impact through higher education. During the brunch, Ms. Morgan E. Richardson was named the 2024 DPMFEE Scholarship Recipient in recognition of her dedication to scholarship, leadership, and community service. The Foundation also recognized finalists Ms. Kennedi C. Robinson, Ms. Kennedy R. Allen, and Ms. Kenzie M. Moore for their exceptional achievements, ambitious career aspirations, and commitment to creating positive change in their communities. Through inspiring moments of recognition and encouragement, the brunch reflected DPMFEE's mission to invest in young women as they pursue lives of purpose, leadership, and excellence.

The 2023 DPMFEE Scholarship Brunch was a memorable celebration of academic excellence, leadership, and the limitless potential of young women pursuing higher education. During the brunch, Ms. Zena Nicole Terry was awarded the 2023 DPMFEE Scholarship in recognition of her outstanding achievements and dedication to her future goals. The three distinguished finalists—Ms. Carrington Hodge, Ms. Asia Jones, and Ms. Jaidyn Ramsay—were also honored for their exceptional academic accomplishments, leadership, and commitment to serving their communities as they prepared to begin their collegiate journeys. Through inspiring words of encouragement and a shared spirit of empowerment, the event reaffirmed DPMFEE's mission to invest in the education, growth, and success of young women while celebrating the impact they will make in their communities and beyond.
2022 DPMFEE Scholarship Brunch
The 2022 DPMFEE Scholarship Brunch honoring Ms. Alexandria Stone was held at The City Club in Birmingham, Alabama. During the brunch, Alexandria was awarded a $3000 scholarship and the three finalists, Janna, DaJa’, and Kai were each awarded a $500 scholarship. The scholars were encouraged and inspired through this year’s keynote speaker, District Attorney, Lynneice O. Washington who told the ladies, “whatever you do, don’t quit and that failure is not an option!”
2021 DPMFEE Scholarship Brunch
The 2021 DPMFEE Scholarship Brunch honoring Ms. Alyssa Christian was held at Roots & Revelry in Birmingham, Alabama. During the brunch, Alyssa was awarded a $3000 scholarship and introduced to her mentor, Dr. Carol Johnson. The keynote speaker for this event was Attorney Terrika Shaw who also encouraged Alyssa and those in attendance to write down their goals and even the dreams that seem outlandish and work towards the manifestation of it all.
